am i a candidate for ED Treatment?
Erectile dysfunction (ED) commonly affects men who are over the age of 40 but is most prevalent in those who are 50 years old or older. ED can be caused by a lack of blood circulation, high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholesterol, certain medications, or other underlying medical conditions. The first step in determining whether you qualify for ED treatment is to undergo a comprehensive health assessment with Dr. Chiang or Dr. Cho. During your initial visit, we'll review your medical history, sexual activity, and lifestyle to determine if GAINSWave or PRP therapy is right for you. Those who have prostate cancer, a penile implant, or severe heart disease may not qualify for ED treatment.
how do erectile dysfunction treatments work?
Both GAINSWave and PRP injection therapy are considered outpatient procedures and are performed on-site at our office near The Woodlands.
GAINSWave is a noninvasive treatment that uses low-intensity sound waves to stimulate blood circulation and the production of new blood vessels to enable a healthy erection. We'll pass a handheld device over the genitals until the entire area has been treated. This treatment usually takes about 30 minutes, and patients can return to their usual activities immediately afterward. We usually recommend multiple treatments to achieve optimal results.
PRP injection therapy (sometimes referred to as the P-shot) is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a patient's own plasma to stimulate blood flow to the penis. We extract a small amount of blood (roughly a few tablespoons worth) from the patient's arm and then place it in a centrifuge machine to separate the different components of the blood. Once the plasma is ready, we'll place it in a sterile needle and inject it into the penis. The platelet-rich plasma helps prompt tissue rejuvenation, blood flow, and optimal circulation for a strong erection. This only takes a few minutes to complete, and once your treatment is done, you can get back to your usual day.
What can i Expect from ed treatment?
Clinical studies have shown high success rates for both GAINSWave and PRP injection treatments. Most men experience a noticeable improvement in the length and girth of their penis during sexual activity. Additionally, many men experience a stark improvement in orgasm and libido. Results will vary from patient to patient, but most of our clients are very pleased with their outcomes.
Erectile Dysfunction Treatment FAQ
How is GAINSWave different from other ED treatments?
GAINSWave is not associated with any of the most common side effects of popular medications on the market. Often, men with a history of heart disease, diabetes, or blood pressure problems cannot use ED medications, which may prevent them from getting the care they need. However, GAINSWave performed at our Spring, TX facility provides a safe and effective treatment option to address ED symptoms in a noninvasive way with minimal risks.
How many GAINSWave treatments will I need?
Usually, most men will undergo 6 – 12 treatments over 3 – 4 months at Chiseled, depending on their ED needs and the severity of their condition.
How long do results from a PRP injection for ED last?
As with most erectile dysfunction treatment types, results from a PRP shot will vary from one person to another. However, we usually expect patients to notice results sometime within a few weeks of the injection and for those outcomes to last for up to two years.
