ABout CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting is a cutting-edge fat reduction treatment designed to sculpt and mold the body by freezing away difficult fat cells without having to undergo invasive surgery. This technology employs controlled cooling (cryolipolysis) to freeze fat cells so that they can be naturally removed from your body to reveal a thinner physique. At Chiseled, under the careful control of leading dermatologist Dr. Melissa Chiang and plastic surgeon Dr. Younghoon Cho, we use state-of-the-art CoolSculpting to help you achieve your cosmetic goals. To discover whether CoolSculpting is right for you, schedule a consultation with one of our seasoned practitioners today. Our office is conveniently located in Spring, TX near The Woodlands.

who is a good Candidate for Coolsculpting?

whatThis noninvasive procedure has shown to be successful for men in varying age groups, and those likely to benefit the most from CoolSculpting:

  • Are at or near their ideal weight
  • Have isolated pockets of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise
  • Don't want or do not qualify for more invasive procedures
  • Have realistic goals for the results of their treatment

How is Coolsculpting performed?

After your consultation with Dr. Chiang or Dr. Cho to create your CoolSculpting treatment plan, we'll schedule your first procedure. At your appointment, we'll apply a gel pad and the CoolSculpting handpiece on the target area to deliver the cryolipolysis energy. The cooling emitted by the applicator will target and freeze fat cells. You'll probably feel a cold sensation during treatment, but this typically doesn't cause great discomfort. As the handpiece uses suction to disrupt fat cells, you'll likely feel a slight tugging or pinching, but these are normal sensations.

what is recovery like after coolsculpting?

As CoolSculpting is noninvasive, you should be able to return to your usual routine after treatment. Common side effects of CoolSculpting include redness, swelling, bruising, stinging, and tenderness around the treated area. These side effects are short-lived and usually fade in the hours and days following your treatment. You should expect to see some results in as little as three weeks, then seeing the most dramatic and obvious results 1 – 3 months after your CoolSculpting treatment.

Coolsculpting FAQ

How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting works by using a controlled temperature to address fat cells in selected regions for treatment. Essentially, it freezes the cells while they die. The cells are then broken down by the body and expelled through natural functions.

Is CoolSculpting safe?
CoolSculpting is a minimally invasive, topical procedure where the apparatus is applied simply to your skin’s surface. With this procedure, there is no need for a healing period. You might experience some slight swelling and redness immediately after treatment, but this usually subsides in around a week.

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions necessary to accomplish your desired results will be determined during your initial consultation. For some patients, just one treatment is sufficient, while other patients may need more therapy sessions depending on the quantity of fat being removed. The total number of sessions is dependent on your aesthetic goals and if you have larger layers of fat in target sections.
